Job Summary
We are seeking a Human Resources and Safety Manager to lead our efforts in fostering a safe, compliant, and productive work environment. This role develops and manages initiatives related to human resources, regulatory compliance, safety programs, and certifications.
Responsibilities
· Manage team member relations throughout the employment lifecycle, including talent acquisition, new team member orientation, position changes, off-boarding, and exit interviews, while fostering a positive perception of the organization.
· Oversee HRIS implementation, maintenance, and upgrades. Produce reports, statistics, and analysis to help leadership understand organizational performance and trends.
· In conjunction with team leads, initiate employee development actions to address performance and noncompliance. Suggest resources to team members and supervisors to drive successful outcomes.
· Handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts; represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations, including union grievance hearings.
· Work with senior leadership to analyze and modify policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
· Use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
· Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the safety, quality and compliance educational needs, inclusive of certification programs to ensure timely completion.
· Maintain all training and compliance records.
· Investigate and report on industrial accidents for insurance carriers.
· Maintain certifications, with assistance from team and training provided.
· Serve as the point of contact for community outreach, leading altruistic initiatives that align with the company mission.
Skills
Bachelor’s in related field; Associates with requisite experience and certifications will be considered.
Minimum 2 years’ experience as an HR Generalist, with exposure to staffing and resource allocation, employment law, safety and compliance training, performance management, and HRIS management.
Prior Human Resources practice as an individual contributor in a small business and/or industrial setting.
Experience setting, maintaining, and reporting on KPIs and other statistical measures.
Preferred Experience
Human Resources certification from an accredited source, such as HRCI or SHRM, preferred.
Familiarity working with unionized workplaces

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
