JOB SUMMARY
Cascade Village is a well-established large mountain condominium association with over 150 units located just minutes from Purgatory Ski Resort in the beautiful San Juan Mountains of Colorado. We are seeking dedicated and skilled full-time Maintenance Technicians to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities and equipment are maintained in optimal condition. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and maintaining a safe and functional environment for all staff and visitors.
Housing is included: A private, furnished, one bedroom unit with utilities, electricity, and WiFi is provided on-site in the clubhouse building, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to live and work in the Colorado mountains. If commuting instead of living on-site, some form of fuel reimbursement may be considered.
Drug and Background checks: These positions require drug and background checks as a pre-employment condition.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on facilities, including plumbing, pool, electrical, heating, and HVAC systems.
- Conduct inspections of equipment and systems to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Perform dry-wall repairs and painting projects and ensure quality workmanship.
- Maintain outdoor lawns and landscape
- Snow removal operations on the roads during winter (plowing, shoveling, ice melt)
- Operate and maintain bobcats, snow blowers, mowers, and related equipment
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Rotating on-call (true emergencies only) responsibility between three staff members
Qualifications:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Required: Ability to pass drug and background check.
- Required: 2+ years of facilities maintenance experience (residential, commercial, HOA, or hospitality)
- Required: Valid driver’s license and ability to operate bobcats and snow removal equipment.
- Required: Good communication and organizational skills
- Required: Ability to work independently and handle on-call responsibilities
- Required: All employees are required to complete background check and drug testing
- Preferred: Certifications in plumbing, electrical, etc.
- Preferred: Experience with high-altitude or mountain environments
- Preferred: Knowledge of residential painting techniques, carpentry and materials
- Preferred: Knowledge of construction and dry-walling
