American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT certification for a cardiac cath lab position requiring IEMA licensure and AHA-certified BLS and ACLS.

Hospital-based cardiac cath lab setting
-
Procedures include diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath, IABP, IVUS, Impella, biopsies, CVC, PICC, tunneled HD catheters, fistulograms, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, drain placements, ureteral stents, nephrostomy tubes, thrombectomies, thrombolysis, Y-90 treatments, and embolizations

Equipment includes Siemens C-Arm (single and bi-plane) and GE ultrasound

EMR is Epic; Omnicell experience is also utilized

4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
-
Weekend availability is required

On-call is required with a 30-minute call-back time; weekday on-call shifts are 13.5 hours with the ability to pick call days in rotation with other team members

May be required to float to a different unit or facility upon manager request

Minimum of 1 year of experience; 2+ years preferred, with at least 1 year in an interventional cardiac cath, NeuroIR, IR, or EP lab preferred

Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Associate Degree in Applied Sciences; Bachelor of Science Degree preferred

Current ARRT certification

Current IEMA licensure (Illinois license must be in hand — no emergency or pending licensure); license required if applicable

Current BLS through the American Heart Association

ACLS through the American Heart Association (preferred at hire; required within 6 months)

Experience with Epic and Omnicell

Two references required for consideration, including at least one from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge RN within the past year

All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration

Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are accepted but may be subject to a local pay rate

Perform interventional and diagnostic cath lab procedures including cardiac catheterization, IR, and special procedures across a broad range of modalities

Vaccination status is required for consideration
