Job Summary
We are on the lookout for motivated and detail-oriented AM & PM Back of House Supervisors to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you'll oversee daily kitchen and restaurant operations during both morning and evening shifts, ensuring smooth service, restaurant maintenance and safety, and team coordination. Responsibilities
- Strong leadership skills to direct the staff to complete tasks timely, properly and effectively, and make sure all procedures are being followed.
- Must have previous experience as a Steward, Lead Steward, Lead Porter or Porter Supervisor.
- Ability to work well under pressure and think quickly on your feet.
- Work with dishwashing machine vendor, pest control vendor, and other relevant Facilities vendors as needed.
- Basic computer skills, such as reading and sending emails.
- Some Receiving, Inventory and Ordering responsibilities.
- Provide support to the Back of House Manager, Chefs, Front of the House, and Special Events Depts by completing daily requisitions and help with furniture and setups for events.
- Oversee the opening and closing cleaning of the restaurant, delegation of daily porter tasks, bathroom attendants, and side work duties. Report lateness, insubordination, staff absences and other incidents to Managers.
- Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts as needed, including overnight projects, and potential overtime.
- AM hours: 8am-4pm (open to change as needed)
- PM hours: 4:30pm-12:30am (open to change as needed)
Qualifications
- Must be bilingual (Spanish and English).
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage teams effectively.
- Previous experience in fine dining or hotel food service environments is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills for managerial tasks.
- Must be able to lift furniture and climb ladders to change light bulbs and handle basic repairs.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs
