The Human Services Department is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Economic Support Specialist to help residents access important benefits and services. In this rewarding role, you’ll guide clients through available programs and provide support that helps strengthen our community.
As an Economic Support Specialist, you will:

Meet with clients to gather financial and personal information needed to determine eligibility for public assistance programs.

Review and verify documentation to ensure accurate and timely benefit decisions.

Provide ongoing case management and conduct eligibility reviews to support continued access to services.

Educate clients about available programs, services, and community resources.

Connect individuals and families with additional support agencies and resources that can improve their well-being.

Maintain accurate records, calculate overpayments when necessary, and assist with case documentation and hearings.

A high school diploma and whatever combination of additional education and work experience provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
