Hot Section Technologies is hiring an experienced Aircraft Structures Technician III for our FAA/EASA Part 145 repair station in Oxnard, California.
This is a full-time, on-site, day-shift position. No rotating shifts. No night shift.

Hot Section Technologies has supported the aviation industry for 40 years and is growing due to increasing demand for aircraft component repair. We are adding another Aircraft Structures Technician III to our FAA/EASA Part 145 repair station in Oxnard, CA.
About the Role
We are looking for a lead-level aircraft structures technician with strong hands-on experience repairing aircraft components using approved technical data, precise workmanship, and accurate documentation.
This is an off-wing aircraft component repair role. It is not a line maintenance, avionics, general mechanic, or production assembly position.
What You Will Do
- Repair metallic and composite aircraft components
- Work from SRMs, CMMs, drawings, service bulletins, repair instructions, work orders, and travelers
- Drill, ream, countersink, dimple, and install aircraft fasteners
- Install rivets, Hi-Loks, nutplates, threaded inserts, patches, and doublers
- Perform structural repair, rework, fabrication, fitting, forming, and component restoration
- Mix and apply sealants, adhesives, primers, corrosion inhibitors, composite resins, and smoothing compounds
- Use calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, hand tools, pneumatic tools, and shop equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation and escalate unclear instructions or deviations
- Provide day-to-day technical guidance to less-experienced technicians
- Maintain a clean, organized, safety-focused work area
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of aircraft structural repair experience at a journeyman or equivalent level
- FAA Airframe rating, A&P License with Airframe rating, or FAA Repairman Certificate required
- Strong aircraft sheet metal repair experience
- Ability to read and follow approved aviation technical data
- Experience with structural repair documentation and quality-controlled work
- Ability to work on-site in Oxnard, California
Preferred Experience
- Composite aircraft component repair
- Flight control surface, cowling, fairing, access door, ducting, panel, or honeycomb/core repair
- FAA Part 145, MRO, depot, airline, or military aircraft structural repair experience
- MOS 15G, AFSC 2A7X3, or similar aircraft structures background
- Prior lead, mentoring, or training experience
Work Environment & Safety
- On-site in an FAA-certified repair-station environment.
- Exposure to machinery, solvents/adhesives/paints, noise, fumes, and variable temperatures.
- PPE required (eye/hearing/respiratory/gloves) per FAA/OSHA.
- May require standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- U.S. work authorization, pre-employment background check, and DOT/FAA-compliant drug test required; ongoing participation in the FAA/DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol program is mandatory.
