Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging technology
- Assess patient health history and vital signs to ensure safe treatment procedures
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and preventive care strategies
- Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques to improve workflow efficiency
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control standards aligned with HIPAA compliance
- Review and document medical and dental records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to healthcare regulations
- Support patient assessment by evaluating dental health status and identifying potential issues requiring further treatment
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care delivery in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or office environment
- Proficiency with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and management
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices
- Hands-on experience with dental equipment operation, including X-ray machines and other diagnostic tools
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures is preferred but not required
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, providing clear patient education on dental care practices
- Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including aseptic techniques and sterilization processes

Pay: $50.00 - $56.00 per hour
