What You'll Do
Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will:
- Provide physical therapy interventions to students based on individualized treatment plans
- Support students in improving mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and participation in school activities
- Document student progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other members of the educational team
- Assist with positioning, adaptive equipment, and mobility recommendations
- Encourage student independence while making therapy engaging and fun
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with professional and agency standards
Qualifications
- Current Illinois Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
- Previous pediatric and/or school-based experience required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Passion for helping children reach their fullest potential
