Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electronic components and systems with precision and efficiency, ensuring that all products meet quality standards and technical specifications. Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic devices and systems according to detailed schematics, diagrams, and IPC 610 standards for electronic assembly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and machining tools to accurately assemble PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) and electrical wiring.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure correct placement of components such as surface mount technology (SMT) parts and programmable logic controllers.
- Perform soldering operations with precision, adhering to IPC 610 standards for quality assurance.
- Conduct inspections of assembled components using calipers, ohmmeters, and other measurement tools to verify electrical connections and mechanical integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot assembly issues and implement process improvements.
- Assist in the testing of assembled units, ensuring functionality through electrical testing procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by documenting processes and suggesting enhancements for efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in electronic assembly or manufacturing environments involving PCB assembly, soldering, and wiring.
- Familiarity with surface mount technology (SMT), through-hole components, and mechanical assembly techniques.
- Knowledge of electrical schematics, schematics reading, and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as calipers, ohmmeters, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment.
- Understanding of IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to electrical wiring installation and component placement.
- Previous experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
