Bilingual CNA/HHA (Khmer Speaking)
LivActive Adult Day Health is seeking a compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) who is fluent in Khmer and English to join our growing Adult Day Health team.
Our program proudly serves a large Cambodian community, and we're looking for someone who can help our participants feel comfortable, understood, and at home by communicating in their native language.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday-Friday
- No nights, weekends, or major holidays
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)
Responsibilities
- Assist participants with activities of daily living, including mobility, transfers, toileting, grooming, and personal care as needed.
- Provide compassionate supervision and support throughout the day.
- Monitor participants for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the nursing staff.
- Obtain and document vital signs as directed.
- Assist with meals, hydration, and feeding when necessary.
- Encourage participant engagement in recreational, therapeutic, and social activities.
- Communicate effectively with participants and families in both Khmer and English.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with Massachusetts Department of Public Health regulations.
- Follow all infection control, participant safety, and confidentiality policies.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, social services, transportation staff, and the interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification/experience.
- Fluent in both Khmer and English (required).
- Experience working with older adults or adults with disabilities preferred.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to assist participants with transfers and mobility throughout the day.
