Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Estimating & Procurement Manager to oversee project estimating, bid development, purchasing, vendor relationships, material sourcing, and job cost management.
This position will work closely with Operations, Accounting, field leadership, vendors, subcontractors, and company leadership to ensure projects are accurately estimated, materials and services are sourced efficiently, and costs are effectively managed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate and timely project estimates and bids based on project scopes and requirements.
- Source and procure materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable pricing and terms.
- Track project costs against estimates and identify opportunities for cost savings and improved profitability.
- Maintain accurate estimating, purchasing, inventory, and vendor records.
- Partner with Operations and Accounting to support job costing, billing, and project needs.
- Coordinate with field leadership to ensure materials, equipment, and services are available when required.
- Review project requirements and work with internal teams to ensure estimates and purchasing decisions align with operational needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in estimating, procurement, project management, logistics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of job cost estimating, purchasing, vendor management, and supply chain operations.
- Experience developing project estimates and bids.
- Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating/procurement systems.
- Experience with job costing systems is a plus.
- Hazmat response, environmental services, industrial services, or related industry experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of environmental/hazmat materials, PPE, and related regulations is a plus.
