Hilton Bayside is seeking a professional and personable bartender to join our team at Bayside Kitchen & Bar. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, outstanding customer service skills, and a deep understanding of California's alcohol laws. As a bartender, you will serve both hotel guests and local patrons, creating a welcoming and memorable experience while maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and compliance.

Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following recipes and guest preferences.

Provide personalized and engaging service to guests, ensuring a memorable bar experience.

Verify guest identification to comply with California's legal drinking age requirement (21+).

Maintain knowledge of Bayside Kitchen & Bar's food and beverage offerings to make recommendations and upsell when appropriate.

Follow all California state and local alcohol service laws, including Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification requirements.

Process transactions accurately using the Hilton Bayside POS system and handle cash, credit card, and room charge payments.

Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked, including replenishing garnishes, polish glassware, and inventory.

Monitor guest behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service and handle any disturbances professionally.

Work closely with restaurant servers, kitchen staff, and hotel team members to ensure seamless service.

Assist with banquet and special event bar service as needed.

Follow all Hilton Bayside safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

Promote hotel initiatives such as loyalty programs, special promotions, and seasonal events.

Must be at least 21 years old.

Valid Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification as required by California law.

Prior bartending experience, preferably in a hotel or high-end restaurant setting.

Knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wine, and beer.

Excellent communication and hospitality skills with a guest-first attitude.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Basic math skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients.

Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Experience in a hotel or fine dining restaurant.

San Diego Food Handlers Certification

Familiarity with hotel POS systems and room charge procedures.

Multilingual skills are a plus.
