Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Spray Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to a variety of products and components, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and specifications. Your expertise in industrial and auto body painting will contribute to the production of durable, visually appealing finished goods. Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking using hand tools and power tools
- Operate airless paint spraying equipment and other spray systems to apply coatings evenly and efficiently
- Mix paints, primers, and other materials accurately according to specifications using basic math skills
- Inspect finished surfaces for quality, consistency, and defects, making necessary touch-ups or rework as needed
- Handle materials safely using forklifts, cranes, and proper materials handling procedures
- Maintain a clean work area by organizing tools, supplies, and waste disposal in compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, and welding teams to ensure seamless integration of painted components into final products
Skills
- Proficiency in industrial painting techniques including airless spray spraying and auto painting methods
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, power tools, hand tools, and welding processes
- Experience with machining, fabrication, auto body repair, and the use of precision measuring instruments
- Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of materials handling procedures within a manufacturing or construction environment
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste
- Basic math skills for mixing paints and measuring components accurately
- Knowledge of auto body repair techniques and auto painting processes is a plus
- Experience working with welding equipment and airless paint spraying systems enhances your versatility in this role
