We're looking for a Safety Manager who can hold a room, read a crowd, and keep a five-star operation running without a hitch while keeping hospitality front and center. You're not the person who shuts the party down. You're the person who makes sure it never has to.
What You'll Actually Do
- Be the guardian of good times. Oversee safety across the restaurant, bars, event spaces, hotels and guest rooms because "safety first" and "best vacation ever" are not mutually exclusive.
- Own compliance, without the boring parts. Keep us sharp on OSHA, fire code, food safety ADA requirements, and local Miami Beach ordinances.
- Run the playbook before you need it. Build and maintain emergency response plans (fire, severe weather, medical events, evacuations, crowd surges) and make sure every department knows their role cold.
- Train like it matters, because it does. Lead ongoing safety training for front-of-house, back-of-house, kitchen, security, and event staff, in a way people actually remember.
- Handle incidents like a pro. Manage guest and employee incident response, documentation, and follow-up — calm, thorough, and guest-experience-minded even in a tense moment.
- Keep the kitchen and bars honest. Partner with culinary and beverage teams on food handling, sanitation, alcohol service protocols, and equipment safety.
- Walk the property like you own it. Conduct regular walkthroughs, flagging hazards before they're headlines.
- Manage the crowd, not just the checklist. Work hand-in-hand with security on capacity limits, event safety plans, and de-escalation during high-energy nights (DJ sets and pool parties included).
- Speak fluent "inspector." Be our point person for health department, fire marshal, and licensing inspections and make sure we pass with confidence, not scrambling.
- Track it, trend it, fix it. Maintain safety records, workers' comp reporting, and incident data, and use it to actually improve how we operate.
- Be a partner, not the safety police. Work closely with GM, HR, and department heads so safety feels like part of the culture, not a memo nobody reads.
What You Bring
- Experience in safety/risk management within hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or nightlife venue.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, food safety, fire/life safety, and ADA standards.
- Certifications like OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid/AED, or ServSafe are a big plus.
- The ability to stay calm, clear, and kind under pressure whether that's a spilled cocktail or a real emergency.
- Strong people skills. You'll be training staff, coaching managers, and reassuring guests sometimes all in the same hour.
- A genuine belief that great hospitality and great safety are the same job.
Why This Role
You'll work at one of the most iconic destinations in South Florida, on a team that treats guest experience as sacred and treats the people who protect it just as seriously.
