Innovate! Inc. is seeking an experienced GIS Specialist – Senior to support advanced geospatial analysis, system design, and application development within an enterprise GIS Service Center. This role is responsible for systems analysis, database design, application development, and implementation of geospatial solutions supporting mission-critical programs. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in Esri technologies, geospatial data management, and automation, with the ability to independently design and implement GIS solutions. This position plays a key role in bridging production-level GIS work and enterprise system architecture, contributing to scalable, high-quality geospatial systems and workflows.

Salary Range: $108,000 - $142,000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform systems analysis, design, development, and implementation of GIS applications and solutions
-
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise geospatial databases (ArcSDE/geodatabases)
-
Create and implement automation tools, scripts, and processing macros for GIS workflows
-
Develop and maintain analytical models and geospatial processing procedures
-
Support application development and customization within the ArcGIS environment
-
Maintain and enhance GIS application software and enterprise systems
-
Prepare and implement user and project setup configurations for GIS initiatives
-
Perform data processing, digitizing, and data integration tasks as needed
-
Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with metadata standards (FGDC ISO)
-
Support integration of GIS with external databases, enterprise systems, and environmental models
-
Collaborate with production staff, developers, and leadership to deliver GIS solutions
-
Contribute to documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement of GIS workflows
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

3–5 years of GIS production experience using Esri software

3+ years of experience with Python and/or ModelBuilder

Proven experience in GIS systems design, database development, and application support
