Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in anatomy and experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This role involves developing individualized care plans, implementing treatment strategies, and providing support to patients of various age groups, including geriatrics and orthopedic cases. The Physical Therapist will work closely with patients to enhance their mobility, alleviate pain, and improve their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and goals.
- Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, including trigger point therapy, and other modalities to facilitate recovery.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, home care strategies, and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the clinic and community systems to provide holistic care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Stay updated on best practices in physical therapy to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices.
- Experience in outpatient settings preferred; inpatient experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care within a clinical environment or home community care setting.
