West Side House is seeking an energetic Physical Therapy Assistant to uphold our high standards for senior care!
Job Summary:
- Responsible for administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the staff physical therapist.
- Administers treatments and physical agents as directed by the staff physical therapist, after the physical therapist has evaluated the patient.
- Assists with restoration of patients functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Associates degree and successfully passed the National Physical Therapy Examination. Currently licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the State of Massachusetts. Ability to speak, read and write English. Ability to follow written and oral directions..
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year clinical experience serving the same age/population mix as served by this facility. Demonstrated competency in identified areas of specialization, with knowledge of application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
