Duties
- Manage and organize legal documents using document management systems such as MyCase, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality..
- Assist with drafting legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Support attorneys in case management activities such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized case files for litigation or transactional matters.
- Schedule appointments, coordinate client interviews, and handle client communication with professionalism and courtesy.
- Prepare transcripts, proofread legal documents, and perform document review to ensure compliance with procedural law requirements.
- Provide executive administrative support by managing calendars, answering phones with excellent etiquette, and handling confidential information securely.
Skills
- Proficiency in legal case management software such as MyCase or similar software is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written communication skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; excellent proofreading abilities.
- Adept at handling confidential information with discretion; experienced in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document processing and data entry; proficient in Word processing and transcription tasks.
- Effective interviewing techniques to gather relevant case information; solid understanding of procedural law to support litigation processes.
- Demonstrated experience in legal administrative tasks such as filing, document review, client communication, and clerical support.
- Excellent phone etiquette combined with professional interpersonal skills; capable of supporting attorneys with executive administrative duties.
