Position Summary
SOLVCHEM, Inc. is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Company Driver to join our Logistics team in Midlothian, Texas. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient local delivery of hazardous and non-hazardous chemical products while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Safely load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous products using pallet jacks, handling 55-gallon drums, IBC totes, and other heavy materials (regular lifting up to 50 lbs.).

Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractors and trailers, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate documentation.

Serve as a professional company representative and liaison to customers in an appropriate manner at all times.

Complete and submit all delivery, driver, and hazardous materials paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Logistics Department regarding vehicle maintenance, repairs, and upcoming expiration dates.

Adhere to all SOLVCHEM safety policies, procedures, and Health & Safety regulations.

Keep assigned vehicle clean and in excellent operating condition.

Assist warehouse operations as directed, including forklift use, loading, cleaning, and general plant support.

Comply with all DOT, federal, state, and company regulations regarding the transport of hazardous materials.

Submit to required drug screenings and alcohol tests per company policy.

Follow the SOLVCHEM Driver Handbook, including journey management and security protocols.

Compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, and product specifications following prescribed recording procedures.

Calculate factors, such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, and amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates.

Write production reports based on data compiled.

Maintain files of documents used and prepared.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Department.
Requirements:
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Forklift certification preferred.

Valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement.

Must be able to safely operate a manual transmission (stick shift) commercial vehicle.

Current DOT medical card and hazardous materials transportation certificate.

Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience (chemical industry experience strongly preferred).
