Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Bartender at the historic Stevenson's established in 1920. We are looking for a team oriented individual In this role who thrives in a fast paced environment. Bartending experience is not required however hard work, honesty, and a willingness to learn are basic requirements. Whether you’re mixing cocktails, managing bar operations, or engaging with patrons, your positive attitude and professionalism will be key to your success. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Use Toast POS system. Prior experience with it is a plus
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service that encourages repeat visits
- Manage bar inventory, restocking supplies as needed and tracking consumption for efficient stock control
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Assist with food service when required, including serving food items at the bar or in designated areas during events or busy hours. Bartenders regularly serve tables as well.
Skills
- Proven experience as a bartender is not required but experience in casual dining is preferred.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Toast and basic cash handling retail skills are preferred.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts
- Strong sales skills to upsell drinks and promote specials effectively
- Exceptional customer service abilities to create a welcoming environment for diverse clientele
- Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety regulations and proper serving techniques
- Experience in catering or banquet environments is a plus; familiarity with nightclub atmospheres is beneficial
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends in a fast-paced hospitality setting
- Basic brewing knowledge or experience working in the food service or retail math is advantageous
