Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demos to enhance their shopping experience
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and basic math accuracy
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending additional items to increase sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure attractive presentation and easy product access
- Assist in stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and managing store cleanliness to promote a welcoming environment
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially in grocery or similar stores
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math calculations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Ability to perform basic math accurately and handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, or product demos is desirable but not required
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach
- Must be able to pass background check and training requirements
