Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and skilled General Handyman to support our facilities and maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing expertise, with the ability to perform residential and commercial repairs. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities, and excellent customer service skills to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our properties. Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance across residential and commercial facilities, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, and general handyman tasks.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems using schematics, CMMS software, and tools such as ohmmeters.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and conduct electrical troubleshooting to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrication as needed for structural or equipment support.
- Supervise maintenance projects, coordinate with team members, and oversee subcontractors when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed using CMMS systems; schedule future maintenance tasks proactively.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all repair activities.
- Assist with facilities management tasks such as landscaping, painting, and general cleaning to uphold property standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields with knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, welding, residential painting, and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Ohmmeters, CMMS software, and other diagnostic tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred.
- Supervising experience is a plus for leadership responsibilities within maintenance projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective team collaboration and customer interaction.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently while following safety protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation between sites if required.
