About the role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the modernization authoring, dissemination, and supporting tools by helping drive DevOps engineering efforts across the platform. You'll work with a collaborative team to deploy, maintain, and optimize mission-critical applications while ensuring the environment remains secure, reliable, and high performing. This position is based in Annapolis Junction, MD, with up to one day of telework per week as project tasking allows.

Please note: This position participates in a rotating 24/7 on-call pager schedule for emergency support (approximately one week every 4–6 weeks). Team members receive additional compensation for on-call rotations.
What you'll do

Deploy and support mission-critical applications.

Install, configure, and maintain complex software environments.

Manage network servers and supporting technology tools.

Monitor system performance, availability, and overall health.

Troubleshoot system issues, outages, and production incidents.

Support infrastructure automation and continuous integration/deployment efforts.

Collaborate with engineers to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications

U.S Citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

Linux administration

AWS, MASH, and Virtual Machines (VMs)

Docker Swarm

Deploying distributed web applications (GitLab CI/CD or similar)

Terraform scripting and virtual machine provisioning

Ansible scripting and automation

Strong understanding of Docker and Docker Compose container technologies

The pay range for this role is:
110,000 - 230,000 USD per year(Annapolis Junction, MD)
