Bilingual Medical Front Office Receptionist (English/Spanish)
Our growing multidisciplinary medical practice is looking for an energetic, compassionate, and highly organized Bilingual (English/Spanish) Front Office Receptionist to become an essential part of our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, enjoys interacting with patients, and takes pride in providing exceptional customer service.
As the face of our practice, you will help create a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring the front office operates efficiently each day. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the confidence to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
Primary Responsibilities
- Greet patients, families, and visitors with a warm, courteous, and professional attitude.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls while providing accurate information and exceptional customer service.
- Schedule, coordinate, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments to maximize provider efficiency.
- Register new patients and update existing patient records, including demographic and insurance information.
- Verify insurance eligibility and ensure patient information is complete and accurate.
- Prepare patient charts and necessary documentation prior to appointments.
- Maintain medical records while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with office procedures.
- Coordinate daily front office activities with physicians, therapists, and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Scan, file, fax, upload, and organize medical documents and correspondence.
- Process patient paperwork, forms, referrals, and other administrative documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
- Follow all HIPAA regulations and safeguard confidential patient information.
- Assist with additional administrative projects and office responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Previous experience in a medical office, chiropractic office, physical therapy practice, or other healthcare setting is preferred, not necessary - willing to train.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience with appointment scheduling, multi-line telephone systems, and electronic medical records is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
- Accurate data entry skills and strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, professional, and committed to providing outstanding patient care.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with medical providers and staff.
