Join our Valley Fresh Market team as a Grocery Clerk and become a vital part of delivering an exceptional shopping experience! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the freshness, organization, and availability of grocery products while providing outstanding customer service. Duties
- Stock shelves efficiently by organizing products, ensuring accurate placement and labeling for easy customer access
- Manage inventory control through regular stock checks, and replenishment.
- Safely load and unload shipments using pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and manual handling techniques to maintain a smooth supply chain flow
- Assist customers with product inquiries, provide friendly service, and support their shopping needs to foster loyalty and satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store environment.
- Collaborate with team members on merchandising initiatives, promotional displays, and store maintenance tasks to enhance the shopping experience
Requirements
- Prior experience in grocery retail or warehouse environments is expected.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Knowledge of equipment operation such as hand trucks, pallet jacks and ladders.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and teamwork mindset
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends mornings or evenings as needed for store coverage.
