FIRST SHIFT TEXTILE MANUFACTURING PRODUCTION OPENING - KNITTING DEPARTMENT
4 10-HOUR WORK SHIFTS - MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY
HOURLY RATE - $20.50/HOUR AFTER 90-DAY PROBATIONARY PERIOD
Milco Industries, Inc. is a privately owned and US based technical textile manufacturing company headquartered in Bloomsburg, PA. Our manufacturing capabilities include tricot and raschel knits that service a variety of markets such as automotive, medical, home furnishings, and footwear.
We are currently looking for full-time first shift Knitting production associate within our textile manufacturing operations. Candidates must have the ability to work individually and as part of a team in a continuous improvement environment. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and successfully complete a 90-day probationary period. Textile or manufacturing experience preferred but will train the right candidate. Essential duties and responsibilities:
· Set-up and operation of knitting machinery for the manufacturing of fabric
· Unload and load sets of yarn onto and off knitting machines
· Operate the necessary equipment to load/unload knitting machines
· Inspection of greige fabric for defects to ensure quality of fabric as it is made
· Identify cause for defects and fix causes
· Document all defects
· Doff rolls
· Thread yarn onto knitting machines and make necessary adjustments for style changes/runners
· Light maintenance and cleaning of equipment
· Compliance to all safety regulations
· Compliance to all quality standards
· Perform general housekeeping duties
· Perform all duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions and SOP’s and communicate with others.
- Must possess basic math and computer skills
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and push/pull loaded fabric trucks
- Must be able to achieve forklift certification
Work Schedule:
Monday - Thursday - 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM with Friday overtime as needed
Pay Rate - $20.50/hour after 90-day probationary period - $19.75 starting rate
