Radiant Beer Co. is looking for stellar, hard-working people to join our team and create an amazing tasting room experience! First and foremost, we’re looking for an awesome human being with a deep passion for people and overall interest in creating the perfect brewery experience for our guests. A qualified Server will possess a minimum of one year experience in a brewery, bar or restaurant. Prior knowledge of craft beer is preferred, but most importantly we’re looking for someone who is open to learning and growing with the team. Candidates should be able to walk guests through our carefully curated menu as well as share a genuine love for incredible beer and food.
This is a part-time position with potential to be full-time, with weekends (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) as a requirement. Most of all, we are looking for candidates with a passion for hospitality and cultivating relationships. General Responsibilities:
● Welcome guests in a kind and courteous manner.
● Provide an enjoyable experience for every guest. Seek out management to resolve customer issues that may arise.
● If scheduled as a Food Runner, promptly delivery food orders to the correct table via table numbers.
● Proactively bus tables, sweep around/under tables and sanitize.
● Rotate around the Tasting Room to ensure guests are enjoying their food and beer, and ring in additional items to their tab if needed.
● Learn, practice and educate guests on craft beer, beer styles, brewing process and terminology.
● Utilize POS system to accurately create tabs, track purchases and collect payment for all beer, food, merchandise, etc. Handle cash appropriately.
● Know and stay up-to-date on state laws & regulations for checking identification and serving intoxicated guests. Properly check appropriate identification for individuals who are drinking and responsibly serve all guests.
● Perform standard cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and organized environment in the tasting room, bar area, cold box and all guest-facing areas.
● Ensure the safety of guests as they navigate through the tasting room and outdoor dining areas.
● Follow all SOPs and safety procedures. Complete any opening, closing or side-work assigned according to your shift.
Qualifications:
● At least one year of related experience in either breweries, bars or restaurants.
● Passion for craft beer and hospitality with a strong beer knowledge.
● Knowledge of POS systems.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
● Warm and welcoming personality.
● Basic math skills and accurate cash handling skills.
● While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time; walk; smell; taste; lift 55+ pounds repeatedly; maneuver 160+ pounds. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
● Valid, non-expired RBS certification (or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
● Valid, non-expired Food Handlers certification (or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
● Ability to work a flexible schedule with frequent nights, weekends & some holidays.
● 21 years of age+, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
● Cicerone Beer Server Level One Certificate is a plus.
