Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fabrication Worker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and inspecting metal and sheet metal components using a variety of advanced machinery and hand tools. Your expertise will ensure that products meet precise specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations. Duties
- Operate CNC laser cutting machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining tools to produce high-precision parts
- Set up and calibrate fabrication equipment including press brakes, stamping presses, plasma cutters, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) machines
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to guide fabrication processes
- Perform measurement and quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and measurement gauges to ensure parts meet strict tolerances
- Assemble fabricated components following detailed assembly instructions and blueprint specifications
- Maintain safety standards by following proper procedures during machine operation and handling materials
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as laser cutters, milling machines, lathes, or plasma cutters in a manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards
- Skilled in welding techniques and sheet metal fabrication processes
- Familiarity with tooling setup for machining tools including press brakes, stamping presses, and CNC equipment
- Ability to use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement instruments for quality control
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocols during fabrication activities
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint interpretation
- Valid forklift certification is preferred; experience with cranes is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision measurement and quality assurance
