Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport customer goods, ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional customer service. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of our transportation services. Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles such as freight trucks in accordance with traffic laws and vehicle codes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with safety standards
- Respond quickly and appropriately to traffic changes, emergency stop procedures, and unexpected road conditions
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance reports
- Ability to perform various tasks in poultry houses for growers, including applying liquid and dry litter amendments or fulfilling other customer requests as needed.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A (CDL) and Hazmat endorsement.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, or related transportation roles
- Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, defensive driving techniques, and emergency response procedures for transportation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling cargo as needed
- Mechanical knowledge for vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance awareness
- Ability to respond swiftly to traffic changes and adapt driving strategies accordingly

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
