Responsibilities
- Perform various massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage tailored to individual client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure safe, effective therapy sessions.
- Communicate clearly with clients about their treatment goals, progress, and post-session care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in compliance with health regulations and occupational health standards.
- Keep detailed records of client treatments, progress notes, and any relevant medical or physiological information using professional terminology.
- Stay informed about current massage therapy practices, anatomy, physiology, and pain management strategies to continually improve service quality.
- Manage appointment scheduling efficiently while providing excellent customer service that fosters trust and client retention.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist with proof of licensing or registration.
- Proven experience in various massage modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and occupational health principles relevant to massage therapy.
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and familiarity with medical terminology related to patient care.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately and communicate effectively throughout treatment sessions.
- Experience working in med spa environments or similar settings is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently as an contractor while maintaining professionalism and adherence to safety standards.
