Join our dynamic team as a Hull Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and safety of our maritime assets. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on ship hulls using precision measuring instruments, schematics, and technical manuals
- Conduct welding operations, including welding techniques, to repair hull damages and structural components
- Utilize hydraulic systems, electrical experience (including high voltage and low voltage), and industrial mechanic knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Operate equipment such as scissor lifts, forklifts, and other field service tools safely and effectively during maintenance tasks
- Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose problems related to mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document maintenance activities, track repairs, and schedule preventive maintenance
- Collaborate with team members on complex repairs involving HVAC/R systems, industrial electrician tasks, or mechanical analysis skills to ensure optimal vessel performance
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility or maritime environment with a focus on hull maintenance or similar roles
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on welding expertise, including welding techniques
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments
- Electrical experience encompassing low voltage, high voltage systems, and industrial electrician skills
- Ability to operate scissor lifts and other elevated work platforms safely in accordance with safety standards
- Knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and industrial mechanics is highly desirable
- Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues quickly and accurately
- Effective customer service skills for interacting with internal teams or external clients as needed
- Fluency in English for clear communication across diverse teams
- Military background or experience in field service roles is considered an asset

Pay: $25.74 - $31.00 per hour
