Job Description:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager (GM) in overseeing daily dispensary operations, ensuring compliance with cannabis regulations, managing staff, and contributing to sales and customer service goals. The AGM is a key leader who fosters a positive team culture, helps optimize performance, and ensures operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:

Support Dispensary Operations: Assist the GM in managing daily operations, including inventory management, compliance with state and local regulations, and maintaining sales performance.

Staff Management: Assist in hiring, training, and supervising dispensary staff, ensuring that employees maintain company standards and deliver excellent customer service.

Scheduling: Ensuring employee schedules are created in a timely fashion, fitting business needs.

Facility Maintenance: Monitor, track, and set appointments to ensure the Retail facility meets operational and maintenance standards.

Customer Experience: Ensure customers have a superior experience by maintaining a welcoming and informative atmosphere, resolving customer inquiries or concerns.

Compliance and Regulation Management: Support the GM in maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding product handling, customer verification, and security.

Inventory Control: Assist in managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking of products using the POS system, and maintaining product availability.

Financial Support: Assist with budgeting, expense control, and maximizing profitability through regular reporting and data analysis.

Problem-Solving: Address operational issues, assist with staff management challenges, and resolve customer complaints promptly.

Oversee Employee Lifecycle Management: Conduct interviews for potential hires, implement and document disciplinary actions as necessary, and manage employee terminations in compliance with company policies and labor laws, ensuring professionalism and alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in retail management, preferably in the cannabis industry.

Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to motivate, train, and supervise a team while working toward operational goals.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Missouri cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.

Customer Service: Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences and resolve issues effectively.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, customers, and stakeholders.

Problem-Solving: Analytical skills to identify and resolve operational challenges efficiently.
