Position: Math Intervention Teacher- Long Term SubstituteLocation: Woodland Elementary SchoolSchedule: August 24, 2026 November 16, 2026 Salary: $225/ day with LicensureTo Start: August 26, 2026Qualifications: Massachusetts Department of Education Teacher Licensure: Mathematics (1-6) or Elementary (1-6) with a strong history of teaching MathematicsSheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement requiredResponsibilities: Instruct small group mathematics intervention classes for grades 3 through 5Ability to identify individual students strengths, areas of growth and interests to authentically engage and motivate the student in an equitable learning environmentImprove the math skills of the students that have been identified as struggling with grade-level mathematics content Develop math intervention plans and standards-based long/short term goals for individual studentsAlign lesson objectives to Massachusetts Mathematics Curriculum Frameworks and WIDA standardsKnowledge of various assessment and diagnostic tools to gather data to determine intervention qualifications, inform daily instruction and consistently monitor student progressKnowledge of latest mathematics programs to create a student-centered classroom with rigorous and relevant tasksKnowledgeable about Special Education (SpEd) and English Learners (EL) in order to work with teachers to design appropriate mathematics intervention lessonsModel various mathematics strategies to develop conceptual understanding Ability to work and communicate with a multidisciplinary team of educators as a team oriented individual willing to collaborate in the best interest of student growthCommunicate with families regarding student progress and supportsA positive person, willing to become consistently involved in all aspects of school life to support student success, school spirit, and school climate and culturePerform standard duties as required by Administration
