Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pre-suit Personal Injury Case Manager to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients involved in personal injury claims, managing case intake, gathering essential documentation, and coordinating with attorneys to prepare cases for litigation. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will ensure a smooth transition from initial client contact through pre-litigation processes, setting the foundation for successful case resolution. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough client interviews to gather detailed case information and assess claim validity
- Manage case files using legal case management systems such as PCLaw and iManage, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates
- Coordinate with medical providers, insurance companies, and other parties to collect relevant records and evidence
- Prepare initial case summaries, affidavits, and supporting documents for attorney review
- Maintain clear communication with clients regarding case status, next steps, and required documentation
- Conduct legal research on personal injury laws, procedural law, and relevant regulations to support case development
- Assist in drafting legal documents, correspondence, and reports with precision and professionalism
Requirements
- Proven experience in personal injury law or legal support roles with a focus on pre-suit processes
- Strong knowledge of legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis
- Familiarity with case management software including PCLaw, iManage, and document review systems
- Excellent interviewing skills combined with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document creation and data entry
- Knowledge of estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, workers' compensation law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, civil litigation support, and procedural law is preferred but not required
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette
- Experience with legal administrative tasks such as filing, proofreading, document management systems, and data entry
