Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating equipment such as Excavators, Dozers, Loaders, Motorgrader,Skidsteers, and backhoes.
Duties
- Operate heavy machinery including tankers, roll-off trucks, concrete mixers, dump trucks, bulldozers, and backhoes to perform various construction tasks.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality before use.
- Dig trenches and perform excavation work as required for construction projects.
- Collaborate with team members to build structures and assist in site preparation.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and minor repairs as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment on construction sites.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other crew members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Equipment Operator in a construction environment is preferred.
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with operating various types of heavy machinery including tankers, roll-off trucks, concrete mixers, dump trucks, bulldozers, and backhoes.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction operations.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
