Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher specializing in garage coatings to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality concrete finishes and durable garage coatings that meet project specifications and safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects, ensuring surfaces are smooth, level, and aesthetically appealing. Responsibilities
- Prepare concrete surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying formwork using hand tools and power tools to ensure optimal finishing results.
- Apply garage coatings with precision, utilizing techniques that guarantee durability and a professional appearance.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to follow project specifications accurately.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for concrete placement and surface preparation tasks.
- Execute finishing techniques such as troweling, floating, edging, and brooming to achieve desired textures and smoothness.
- Collaborate with team members on building material installation, masonry work, plastering, and other related tasks to support comprehensive project completion.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and construction plans while working outdoors or on elevated surfaces.
- Assist with restoration projects involving stucco, caulking, roofing, or hardscape installations as needed.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris according to safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, including applying garage coatings or similar surface treatments.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation relevant to concrete work.
- Knowledge of building construction processes such as framing, carpentry (including trim carpentry), window installation, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, and masonry is highly desirable.
- Experience working on construction projects or outdoor environments is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols specific to construction sites involving electrical work, plumbing integration, roofing, or restoration projects.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings related to concrete forming or fabrication processes.
- Skills in welding or electrical experience are a plus but not mandatory.
