Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Follow recipes and portion controls to deliver accurate servings while maintaining food safety standards
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new ideas and seasonal specials to keep offerings exciting
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures at all times
- Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients for service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and utensils to uphold health regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, preferably as a line cook or culinary aide
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with meal preparation, cooking methods, and food service operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
