Duties
- Supervise and coordinate landscaping crews on diverse projects, including lawn care, planting, pruning, irrigation installation, and maintenance.
- Oversee landscape maintenance activities such as mowing, trimming, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control to ensure healthy and vibrant outdoor spaces.
- Manage irrigation systems by installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation equipment to promote efficient water use.
- Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to ensure proper care and health of landscape elements.
- Lead construction projects involving garden beds, pathways, retaining walls, and other landscape features with attention to detail and safety protocols.
- Assign tasks effectively among team members based on skills and project requirements while monitoring progress for timely completion.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during all landscaping activities.
- Maintain equipment inventory, perform routine maintenance checks, and coordinate repairs as needed to maximize operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in landscape maintenance or related outdoor projects.
- Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques including lawn care, gardening practices, horticulture principles, tree care, and plant identification.
- Hands-on experience with irrigation management systems and troubleshooting issues effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams of crew members in outdoor settings across construction projects or similar environments.
- Background in construction or landscape construction projects is preferred.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Familiarity with equipment operation such as mowers, trimmers, excavators or other landscaping machinery is advantageous.
