We are seeking experienced Data Center BMS/EPMS Engineers to join our data centers in Ashburn (VA), Atlanta (GA), and Sunnyvale (CA). This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) within data center environments. This role is responsible for driving the standardization of automation and monitoring systems, ensuring reliable operation of monitoring, control, and alarm platforms.
Duties
- Ensure the reliability and integrity of operational data acquisition and integration for Data Center BMS/EPMS platforms.
- Coordinate with Facility Managers and Facility Engineers to develop, validate, and continuously maintain CMDB topology diagrams.
- Lead a local team in identifying, integrating, governing, and optimizing EMS monitoring system to improve data quality and system visibility.
- Work with FM/FE team to implement alarm rationalization, integrate Emergency Operating Procedures, and develop, validate, and regularly drill response strategies.
- Evaluate and optimize building automation technologies, develop standardized technical solutions for recurring issues, and promote global best practices.
- Conduct technical risk assessments, change reviews, maintenance audits, operational optimization evaluations, and global quality inspections for building automation systems.
- Drive the implementation of key building automation technologies across global data centers to ensure stable and reliable automated operation of critical infrastructure.
- Supervise vendors during on-site changes and be responsible for system deployment, commissioning, configuration, optimization, and control strategy implementation.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Architectural Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in data center operations, facilities management, or quality engineering.
- Strong understanding of building automation system architecture, control logic, and optimization methodologies.
- Solid knowledge of Data Center BMS/EPMS platforms and critical infrastructure systems, with hands-on experience in industry-standard communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, and MQTT.
- Proven experience in system deployment, commissioning, operation, optimization, and control strategy configuration.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python or Shell for automation and operational efficiency is highly preferred.
- Mandarin Chinese language proficiency is preferred
