Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will serve as a key advocate and support coordinator for individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism and neurodevelopmental disorders. Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized support plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, including behavioral health and behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure consistent service delivery.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, hygiene, meal preparation, and community outings.
- Provide direct support through personal transportation assistance, ensuring safe travel to appointments, activities, or community events.
- Collect and document data related to client progress, behavior patterns, and service outcomes for ongoing assessment and reporting.
- Review assessments for new clients to determine eligibility and develop initial care plans aligned with federal and state regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications and adhering to health guidelines during service provision.
Skills
- 1 year experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders in home or community settings.
- Strong understanding of special education principles and behavioral health practices.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction, family engagement, and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
- Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for personal transportation assistance and client outings.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Experience in data collection methods for tracking progress and reporting outcomes accurately.
