If you enjoy working with your hands, reading prints, and building complex machinery from start to finish, this is an opportunity to join a team where your skills directly contribute to the production of high-performance paving and construction equipment.
As an Assembly Mechanic, you’ll work in a modern manufacturing environment assembling mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems into fully functional, custom-built equipment.
In this role, you’ll take part in the full assembly process — not just one step — giving you a broader, more engaging work experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Assembling frames, axles, motors, A/C systems, and electrical harnesses
-
Building custom equipment based on blueprints and schematics
-
Using precision tools such as torque wrenches, ratchets, pneumatic pulse tools, and DC electric wrenches
-
Calibrating tools and fixtures to ensure accuracy
-
Working with a wide range of fittings, including hydraulic hoses and A/C components
-
Performing detailed inspections to ensure equipment meets quality standards
-
Collaborating with engineering, purchasing, and production teams
-
Adjusting to changing production needs and schedules
-
Identifying and communicating issues such as part shortages, discrepancies, or safety concerns
We’re looking for individuals with a strong mechanical foundation and a commitment to quality.
Required:
-
2+ years of experience in heavy equipment assembly or mechanical roles (automotive, aviation, or military also considered)
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
-
Experience working with hydraulics and electrical components
-
Understanding of torque specifications and patterns
-
Knowledge of O-rings, fittings, and the metric system
-
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
Also considered:
-
Automotive technology or trade school experience (even if experience is limited)
-
Certifications or formal training in a related field
This is more than a typical assembly line position. You’ll work in an environment that operates like a full mechanical shop, giving you exposure to multiple stages of the build process and more ownership over your work.
You’ll benefit from:
-
The opportunity to build complete systems, not just repeat one task
-
A team-oriented culture with direct support from leadership
-
Consistent feedback to help you grow your skills
-
Recognition for your contributions, including company celebrations and employee appreciation events
-
Clean, modern, and well-organized facility
-
Large-scale operation with multiple equipment build lines
-
Team-based environment that values collaboration and communication
-
Access to professional-grade tools and equipment
If you’re looking for a role where you can strengthen your mechanical skills, work on complex equipment, and be part of a team that values craftsmanship, this is a strong opportunity to grow.
