Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and safety during transit
- Drive various types of trailers including Concrete trucks, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks to meet delivery schedules
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times while minimizing fuel consumption and vehicle wear
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle types operated.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery route driving and load & unload operations
- Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailer operation.
- Ability to operate auxiliary equipment like forklifts safely when required for loading or unloading freight
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo handling
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Must have CDL for more than 3 years and have a CLEAN driving record.
