Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing multidisciplinary pediatric team in Miami, FL. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and treating children with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, autism spectrum disorder, and related conditions. You will develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans and provide engaging, evidence-based therapy tailored to each child's unique needs.

This position involves close collaboration with BCBAs, Speech-Language Pathologists and Physical Therapists to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments using standardized tools and clinical observation.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals based on each child's needs and progress, in accordance with physician orders and authorized services
- Provide skilled, engaging, and evidence based occupational therapy services to pediatric clients
- Address areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care/ADLs, feeding (if applicable), visual-motor integration, and functional skills
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including BCBAs, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Physical Therapists
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with caregivers to provide education and home program strategies
- Document patient progress accurately in medical records while adhering to regulatory standards and maintaining confidentiality. Maintain accurate, timely and complete documentation, including evaluations, daily session notes, progress reports, and re-evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with HIPPA, Medicaid, and all insurance and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to specialized programs such as early intervention, occupational health initiatives, or school-based therapy services.
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and care coordination
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and speech therapy techniques relevant to occupational therapy practice
- Supervise and support COTAs or therapy assistants
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Florida Occupational License
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from and accredited program
- Minimum of 1 year of pediatric experience preferred (new graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered)
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, and related conditions preferred
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology and speech therapy principles related to occupational therapy
- Knowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy interventions and best practices
- Strong clinical judgement and ability to work independently as an independent contractor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families and interdisciplinary team members
- Ability to manage time effectively, maintain schedule flexibility, and meet documentation deadlines
- Experience with electronic medical records (EHR) systems and digital documentation
- Knowledge of early intervention programs and occupational health practices is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques for outpatient or home health settings while maintaining patient engagement and safety standards. Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
