We are looking for a friendly and efficient Cashier/Customer Service team member to join Hashi Japanese Kitchen! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, providing excellent customer service while assisting in various restaurant operations.
Currently hiring for Monday - Friday, 10:45 am - 4 pm shift.
Responsibilities
- Packing To-Go Orders (35%) – Ensure accuracy and quality of takeout orders, double-check for completeness, and package them neatly for pickup or delivery.
- Serving Tables (20%) – Greet guests, serve food and drinks, and provide excellent customer service to create a welcoming dining experience.
- Helping in the Kitchen (15%) – Assist with light food prep, and supporting kitchen staff during peak hours.
- Prepping (10%) – Restocking ingredients, beverages, and condiments to keep service running smoothly.
- Cleaning (10%) – Maintain cleanliness in the dining, packing area; follow sanitation standards.
- Taking Orders & Answering Calls (10%) – Take customer orders accurately, process payments, and answer phone calls for takeout or general inquiries.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with Japanese food service is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate loads.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability.
- A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing the customer experience.
