ISED Communications is a small company looking to grow with the addition of a reliable, hardworking, attentive individual. We build structured cabling systems, install wireless access and security systems, and do some A/V.
Some responsibilities include cabling of commercial & occasionally residential buildings, both new and existing. Installing and building racking equipment in network rooms. Dressing equipment closets with great attention to detail. And installing cameras and door access systems, wireless access points, and some basic networking systems.
Must be able to work independently & with a team. Need to be proficient in troubleshooting and fixing issues. Along with the ability to read and understand blueprints. Must also be able to train and mentor.
Overview
- 3+ years of experience with low voltage and/or electrical
- Must have knowledge on installation of various low voltage systems, such as network cabling, video surveillance, door access, fiber, etc.
- Experience installing, fishing, terminating, testing and troubleshooting cat 6 and fiber
- Must be a quick learner and problem solver
- Great attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy are required
Must be able to:
- troubleshoot and fix issues with little to no supervision
- use various power tools
- use common construction and low voltage terminology
- read, understand, and perform jobs according to blueprints
- keep company vehicles and tools neat an organized at all times
- lift 50+ lbs
- Bend, stand, sit, crawl, stoop, kneel, crouch walk, climb, lift and work with hands and arms throughout the work day in all environments (basements, crawl spaces, attics, ceilings, etc.)
- work at various heights
- complete and submit paperwork accurately
- operate a scissor lift
Requirements:
- Strong English communication skills
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Must show up to work on time, everyday
- Willing to work various hours and an occasional weekend when needed
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Job requires some travel using company vehicle
