We have an immediate career opportunity for an extraordinary Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant. This position combines advanced oral surgery, implant, and sedation procedures with comprehensive general dentistry. The ideal candidate enjoys surgery and sedation but also appreciates the variety of restorative and preventative dental care.

Our practice offers a unique blend of comprehensive general dentistry and advanced procedures including oral surgery, IV sedation, implants, wisdom teeth extractions, bone grafting, same-day restorations, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, removable prosthetics, and much more.
This position is ideal for an assistant who enjoys surgery and sedation but also is seeking an opportunity for advanced training in IV sedation, implant surgery, wisdom teeth extractions, and digital dentistry.
Position Title: Dental Assistant with Oral Surgery & Sedation Experience
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:

- Have a minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience
Preferred Experience
Experience in the following areas is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate:
- Oral surgery
- Wisdom teeth extractions
- Dental implants
- Bone grafting
- IV sedation and/or oral sedation
- Surgical instrument management
- CEREC and digital dentistry
Main Duties
Oral Surgery & Sedation Responsibilities
- Assist with oral surgery procedures and implant placement
- Assist during IV sedation and oral sedation appointments
- Prepare surgical operatories and instruments
- Monitor and support patient flow during surgical procedures
- Provide thorough pre-operative and post-operative instructions
- Ensure surgical equipment and supplies are maintained and organized
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols
General Dentistry Responsibilities
- Chairside assisting for four-handed dentistry
- Assist with restorative procedures including fillings, crowns, bridges, and root canals
- Expose dental radiographs
- Operatory setup and breakdown
- Sterilize and process instruments
- Take traditional impressions and digital scans
- Fabricate temporary crowns
- Educate patients on oral health and treatment recommendations
- Maintain inventory and clinical supplies
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of treatment when needed
RDA Expanded Duties
- Place sealants
- Perform coronal polishing
- Additional duties permitted under California RDA licensure

Office Hours
Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 8:30AM - 5:30PM
Tuesday: 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Friday: 7:00AM - 3:00PM
(Some Saturdays: 9:00AM - 3:00PM)

Compensation: (Pay is negotiable based on experience and skill set)
