Electrical Testing Technicians (NETA Preferred)
VA, Washington DC & Quincy, WA | Full-Time | $30-$72/Hour + Overtime
We're hiring experienced Electrical Testing Technicians to perform acceptance testing, maintenance testing, troubleshooting, and startup of low and medium voltage electrical power distribution equipment.
Multiple openings are available in Caroline County, Richmond, Tysons, Washington, DC, and Quincy, WA. Positions range from Technician II through Senior Technician based on your experience and qualifications. Travel requirements vary by project, with opportunities ranging from local assignments to 100% travel.
What You'll Do
- Test and troubleshoot electrical power distribution systems
- Perform acceptance and maintenance testing of switchgear, breakers, transformers, relays, MCCs, and cables
- Conduct relay testing, insulation resistance, power factor, and other electrical tests
- Analyze test results and document findings
- Follow NFPA 70E and LOTO safety procedures
- Work independently or lead projects, depending on experience
What We're Looking For
- 5 -10+ years of electrical testing, field service, commissioning, or power distribution experience
- Experience with switchgear, transformers, breakers, protective relays, or medium-voltage systems
- Experience using Doble, Omicron, Megger, Vanguard, Fluke, or similar test equipment
- NETA or NICET certification is a plus
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required
