BrightStar Care in Orland Park is looking to hire a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a home health case in Shorewood, IL. Care is for a 5 year old male with G-Tube, Trach and Vent. We are hiring for full-time overnight coverage Sunday through Thursday 10pm-6am. We can consider part-time if you are able to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week.
Requirements
- Pediatric g-tube, trach and vent experience
- Unencumbered license as an LPN in the state of Illinois
- Certified CPR
- IL Mandated Reporter
- TB skin test, chest x-ray, annual physical
- Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients during shifts, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Tube Feeding, Trach Suctioning and Vent Monitoring, as needed. (case by case scenario)
- Maintain accurate patient records (Notes and charting)
- Respond promptly to emergencies, utilizing basic life support skills and airway management techniques.
