The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Director of Human Resources and HR team. This position supports the implementation of HR services, policies, and programs and is designed for individuals seeking an opportunity within Human Resources or Healthcare Administration.
The HR Assistant contributes to a positive, employee‑focused environment that supports organizational goals related to recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement.

Reports to the Director of Human Resources and provides administrative and logistical support.

Assists with payroll coordination, including collecting and reviewing timesheets, submitting payroll change requests, and supporting leave tracking such as FMLA documentation.

Assists with annual benefits open enrollment activities, including review of enrollment forms and basic benefits reconciliation.

Provides support for the 403(b) retirement plan, including enrollment tracking and reporting assistance.

Supports recruitment activities, including applicant tracking, interview coordination, and candidate communications.

Assists with new hire onboarding and orientation, including pre‑employment screening coordination, background checks, credential verification, and documentation.

Ensures all new hire and employee documentation is received timely and accurately entered into HR systems.

Maintains employee records, files, and HRIS entries.

Prepares reports and provides general administrative support for HR department initiatives.

Assist with Mail and Inner Office Mail, ordering and maintaining department supplies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate’s degree, relevant coursework, or interest in Human Resources or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Prior HR experience is Preferred. (Min of 2-3 years' experience)
Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
Ability to communicate professionally with employees in person, by phone, and via email.
Basic to intermediate computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and data entry; experience with HRIS or Paycom is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Self‑directed, dependable, and eager to learn.
$17.00 per hour
