Controls Engineer
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Controls Engineer, you can expect to:
- Work in coordination with the Project Managers makes sure the project procedures of the company and project are met
- Ensure that the Controls Systems Projects meet client needs and expectations
- Report on status of all projects during execution and upon completion
- Prepare engineering estimates for new projects
- Program independently and be resourceful in programming skills
- Check and verify others control system work
- Ensure that the control system design engineering services are commensurate with professional codes and standards, client requirements, and corporate objectives
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years controls experience
- Requires a high level of technical knowledge as well as excellent leadership, interpersonal, employee and demonstrated client relationship skills
- Preferred knowledge of PLC and DCS languages such as Allen Bradley, ABB, Yokogawa, Siemens, Delta V and Galil
- Requires a thorough understanding of the capabilities and limitations of various DCS and PLC software packages and general automated engineering and design equipment to effectively direct their use for diverse engineering assignments
- Consulting Engineering experience preferred
- Excellent communication both written and verbal and interpersonal skills
